It's never easy to find a therapist and if you were like me and grew up in a family that discouraged therapy or talking about mental health in general, it can be especially intimidating to even look for a therapist.  By looking into therapy, you have taken an important step towards living the life that you want, so thank you for being here.
I am a Licensed Social Work Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC) in the state of Washington and have ten years of experience working in the mental healthcare field.  I find that the counseling relationship is at its most, effective when it is highly collaborative and specific to the person- not a cookie cutter, one-size-fits-all approach.  I use a number of research backed techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Strengths Based Therapy to help people address their struggles and concerns in their life.  What this means is that I will work with you to find what areas of your life you are struggling with, see if these struggles are patterns that have been present in your past, and work toward a life that you want to live.
