ELAINE AGUILA

Therapy with me is a space to slow down, listen inward, and make sense of the parts of yourself that have had to stay quiet for too long.  I work with adults who are ready to untangle old survival patterns, heal from trauma, and step into a more grounded, authentic way of being.  My approach is trauma-informed and body-centered, weaving together Emotion-Focused Therapy, somatic awareness, and Parts Work/IFS to help clients process emotions and cultivate self-understanding.  I’m trained in trauma reprocessing techniques, including Brainspotting and the FLASH technique, which support deep nervous system regulation and integration. I’m especially passionate about working with Persons of the Global Majority (PoGM), LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients, and those navigating bicultural or intergenerational dynamics. Outside of sessions, I find grounding in movement and nature: rock climbing, hiking with my pup, and savoring a good cup of coffee/tea remind me that healing often unfolds in small, steady steps toward what feels most alive.
